18 June 2014 The US Patent and Trademark Office has revoked six controversial trademarks belonging to a professional American football team after ruling that they are disparaging and offensive.

13 January 2014 The US Patent and Trademark Office has rejected a trademark application containing the word “Redskins”, at the same time as its Trademark Trial and Appeal Board is due to decide whether a professional American football team can keep its trademark for the word.
