Team overview:
Beijing Sanyou is led by patent attorney Hui Li, a partner and chair of the firm’s board of directors. Li is president of the Intellectual Property and Standardization Working Committee of the China Council For International Investment Promotion, vice president of the China Intellectual Property Society, a member of the All-China Patent Attorneys Association and a member of the ACPAA Special Committee for Invention Patent.
Three quarters of Beijing Sanyou’s patent attorneys, patent engineers and translators have post-graduates degrees or above. One quarter of the patent team has an overseas educational background and 50% of the professionals in the chemistry and biotech groups have doctoral degrees. The firm has been recruiting new team members with capability in target areas such as the internet of things, cloud computing and bio-pharmaceuticals.
Key matters:
- Beijing Sanyou advised FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp in a case chosen by the China National Intellectual Property Administration as one of ten typical patent administrative protection cases in 2023.
- The petitioner, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp., obtained the invention patent right for "Toner Box and Image Forming Device" on May 28, 2014, with the patent number ZL201010211753.9.
- On January 19, 2022, the petitioner filed a request for resolving a patent infringement dispute with respondents Beijing Pinyoujiahui Technology, Beijing Venus Gang Technology, Zhongshan Jingcheng Technology to the Beijing Intellectual Property Office.
- The Beijing Intellectual Property Office, ordered Youjiahui, to immediately cease selling the products in the case; Venus Gang and Zhongshan Jingcheng to immediately stop manufacturing the products involved, and to destroy the specialised equipment and moulds used to manufacture the infringing products, and to not sell or use unsold infringing products.
