Peers say fashion and luxury sector specialist Nancy Wolff, based in New York and Beverly Hills, has “sound judgement” and “I trust her all the time.” Wolff is co-chair of the firm’s Litigation Department and of the firm’s Art Law Group. She represents creative individuals and companies in all areas of digital media, art law, licensing, and publishing and serves as counsel to the Digital Media Licensing Association. She represents photographers, artists, collectors, museums, galleries, and publishers in all transactional issues.

Key Matter:

  • Scott Sholder represented The Gathering for Justice, a non-profit founded by Harry Belafonte with a mission to end child incarceration and eliminate racial inequities in the US justice system, in its defence before the TTAB to an opposition by the Hubbard Media Group, a Minnesota-based television company, to the non-profit’s application to register the mark ‘Revolutionary Reelz’. 
  • The application was abandoned after an inter partes decision.
  • Wolff represented Office of Air in its opposition to the mark ‘V’ registered by SportFive. The opposition was terminated and the mark registered.
