8 February 2018 The European General Court ruled against the European Union Intellectual Property Office in a revocation case involving Sony today.

14 July 2021 Sony will have to defend its PlayStation 4 console from US patent infringement claims at district court proceedings, following a US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit’s decision to partly revisit the case.
