Amy Abeloff

Amy Abeloff is of counsel at Kirkland & Ellis, where she has worked since June 2024. From July to December 2024, she was seconded to Gilead Sciences.Abeloff’s legal career began with externships at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Under Armour in 2014. She subsequently worked at Seyfarth Shaw from January 2015 to June 2024, progressing from legal extern to associate. During this period, she completed a secondment at UnitedHealth Group.Her practice focuses on trademark portfolio management and pre-enforcement matters for Fortune 500 companies across industries including insurance, alcoholic beverages, and consumer products.Abeloff is active in professional organisations, serving on International Trademark Association (INTA) committees since 2017, including the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition Project Team and the Harmonization Committee. She has contributed to industry discourse as a panellist at the Washington in the West Conference (January 2025), co-host of an INTA Roundtable on Cultural Competency, and co-author of IP-focused blog posts.During her time at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, she served as president of the Mental Health and Wellness Initiative (2012-2015) and received the ABA’s Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs Meritorious Service Award for Law Student Wellness (2014).
