Ben Shiroma

Ben Shiroma is an associate at Knobbe Martens, specialising in patent and trade secret litigation. A graduate of Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Technology, Shiroma completed his degree cum laude.He works with diverse clients across various sectors, including medical device companies, computing startups, and local Los Angeles businesses. His work involves protecting market-leading innovations, obtaining recognition for technological contributions, and enforcing intellectual property rights across different jurisdictions.Shiroma regularly contributes to the firm’s litigation blog and his published works include articles on IP protection strategies, legal standards, and associate development. He has also moderated panels for the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association, exploring topics such as litigation financing ethics.Committed to D&I, Shiroma serves as co-chair of Knobbe Martens’ Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) affinity group. His leadership includes organising firmwide programming that highlights AANHPI community contributions.
