Bilkis Daby

Bilkis Daby is a senior partner at Adams & Adams and a qualified trademark practitioner. She specialises in trademark portfolio management, both locally and internationally. As a member of the firm’s management committee, she plays a significant role in shaping Adams & Adams’ strategic direction. Daby leads the firm’s alumni programme and serves on the marketing committee. She actively promotes IP awareness through panel discussions, educational content creation, and lecturing attorneys preparing for South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL) IP examinations.Daby is a fellow of SAIIPL, a member of the Legal Practice Council, and participates in international organisations including the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group (PTMG). Within INTA, she contributes to the Women’s LeadershIP Initiative and serves on the ‘Women Leaders Series’ Project Team.Daby uses her position as chairperson of the D&I Committee at Adams & Adams to drive positive change in the workplace. She has mentored young legal talent, particularly women and people of colour, and played a key role in graduate recruitment, helping place over 80 candidate attorneys, many from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
