Carolyn Herzog

Carolyn Herzog is an experienced C-Suite leader and innovative chief legal officer who has spent over 25 years in global technology companies. Currently serving as chief legal officer at SaaS company Elastic (ESTC), she leads a distributed team of over 40 legal professionals worldwide, driving corporate governance and legal functions for the NYSE-listed, Amsterdam-headquartered company.Previously, Herzog was EVP, general counsel, corporate secretary and CCO at Arm, where she led global legal affairs and trade compliance. At Arm, she orchestrated transformation for public readiness and strategically negotiated the company’s intended $40B+ sale to Nvidia. She served on Arm’s Subsidiary Governance Board and as president of Arm France.During her 17-year tenure at Symantec, Herzog held progressively senior roles including deputy general counsel and head of legal for Europe, Middle East and Africa. She began her legal career at AXENT Technologies, where she ultimately became general counsel and led the company’s $900m acquisition by Symantec.
