Kelly Saliger is a solicitor and trademark attorney, and acts as president of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) until 2026. She chairs CITMA's council and sits on its executive board. She is a contributor to the UK Trade Mark Handbook (Sweet & Maxwell) and is a patron of the British Beauty Council and member of Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group and INTA. Saliger specialises in trademark prosecution, enforcement and strategy, particularly in tech and outsourcing and the life sciences sectors, operating in the niche fields of cosmetics, nutraceuticals as well as related beauty / medical devices and treatments. Her practice spans all things trade mark related (UK IPO proceedings, domain name complaints, companies name tribunals) and surrounding commercial and regulatory advice. In 2025 she co-ordinated and launched CMS’ inaugural Expert Guide on Beauty pulling together advice from 20 jurisdictions. A seasoned presenter, she has hosted CITMA’s Spring and Autumn conferences and webinars. She speaks regularly at industry events and this year was honoured to speak alongside industry leaders and academics including Lord Justice Richard Arnold, Geoffrey Hobbs KC, Professor Robert Burrell and Professor Anette Kur at the UCL lecture ‘UK Trade Marks Act 1994 at 30—Going Forward, Looking Backwards: Lessons from Harmonisation’. She also provides in-house training to her clients on a regular basis and speaks and presents on the trademark courses including those at Bournemouth University.Saliger manages multi-territorial litigation both in the UK and internationally and her career highlights include securing one of the earliest injunctions issued on a pan-European basis and filing a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights on the issue of delay in member state trademark infringement proceedings.
