Kimberley Evans

Kimberley Evans registered as a trademark attorney in 2009, and over her career she has gained expertise across a diverse client base, including media conglomerates, pay television broadcasters, international hotel chains, biotechnology entities, FMCG companies, biofuel manufacturers, sporting bodies, and medical technology entities.Since February 2024, Evans has served as head of trademarks at Pearce IP, the only IP firm in Oceania with a female founder. It is certified by WEConnect International as women-owned. Notable professional achievements include registration of indigenous trademarks for the Worrora, Wumumul, and Ngarinyin peoples, successfully defending Hilton’s ‘Waldorf’ trademarks in Australia, protecting trademarks for Tiger Woods Enterprises, and successfully defending opposition by Monster Energy Company against PepsiCo trademark applications.Evans is a member of the editorial board for the Australian IP Law Bulletin (Lexis Nexis) since 2021. Her academic contributions include serving as a guest lecturer at the University of Queensland Law School in 2017. Her writing has appeared in multiple publications, including IP Forum, Internet Law Bulletin, Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, Scintilla, and the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice.
