Laila Beynon

Laila Beynon manages patent litigation globally (ex-US) for Regeneron, drawing on her PhD in biochemistry and experience in the scientific industry in her role. She handles both freedom-to-operate disputes and the enforcement of Regeneron’s patent rights in patent offices and courts, and was involved in the first patent revocation action at the Unified Patent Court (UPC) Munich Local Division. Beynon is a self-described ambassador for diversity & inclusion in the IP profession. Earlier this year she participated in a diversity workshop hosted in partnership with the ChIPs Network to explore diverse career paths within European IP, highlighting the importance of junior advocate involvement in UPC cases, pathways to achieving gender diversity among judges and participants, and providing an open forum to demystify career success in the IP sector.
