Siân Gill

Prior to taking on her current leadership role at Venner Shipley in 2021, Siân Gill had served on the firm’s management committee since 2017 and was head of the chemistry and life sciences department for ten years. Gill has been instrumental in driving growth of the team. She is a European and chartered patent attorney with over 25 years’ experience and has been at Venner Shipley since 1998. Gill led the combination of Venner Shipley and AA Thornton. She regularly presents on topics such as the developing case law around plausibility at the European Patent Office (EPO) and in national courts across Europe. She is also the co-lead client relationship partner for one of Venner Shipley’s key clients, managing a team of over 30 for this one client. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, a member of the European Patent Institute as well as being an authorised representative before the Unified Patent Court.
