Tara Harris

Tara Harris leads Naspers’ IP strategy, oversees IP risk management, and protects and enforces its IP assets globally. South African multinational Naspers is a global consumer internet group and technology investor and operator. The group builds businesses in the online classifieds, payments & fintech, food delivery and education technology sectors.Harris supports Naspers’ broader digital and regulatory team, which focuses on data privacy, competition, IP and artificial intelligence (AI) governance. Additionally, she supports M&A activities and contributes to the AI governance team.Prior to her current role, Harris was group IP lead—digital & regulatory at Prosus, a Naspers company which is the largest listed consumer internet company by asset value in Europe.Harris is a regular panel speaker at IP events, such as WIPR’s AI & IP  Europe.
