UK Trademarks 2025

Greaves Brewster

Firm overview:

Friendly southwest firm Greaves Brewster runs a growing trademark practice alongside its established patent offering. Known best for its capabilities in prosecution and portfolio management, an impressive number of clients, particularly in the health and pharmaceutical industry, instruct the small-but-experienced team to handle trademark creation, filing and enforcement. In addition to its trademark prosecution and protection capabilities, the attorney firm handles trademark licensing matters and provides pre-litigation advice and actions.

The firm handles filing programmes and contentious proceedings before the UK and World Intellectual Property Offices (IPOs) and coordinates such matters overseas, and has experience securing favourable outcomes against both highly ranked full-service firms and attorney firms. Greaves Brewster is particularly experienced in taking on urgent instructions for brands in critical need of securing rights in a new jurisdiction, when faced with emerging threats of infringement or the emergence of counterfeit products.

Team overview:

Greaves Brewster’s head office is located in Cheddar, Somerset, with many of its team members working remotely across the UK. The trademark practice consists of two chartered trademark attorneys who are supported by a number of colleagues both within the trademark department or in other IP areas. Clients value the personable and thorough service provided by the team.

Director and trademark attorney Corinna Hiscox protects and manages trademarks worldwide, co-ordinating with the firm’s international network. Alongside Hiscox is fellow attorney Thomasin Procter, who joined the team in 2024. Procter brings experience from working at three other ranked law firms, including Bird & Bird.
