Bailey Cavalieri’s trade secret and restrictive covenant team have extensive trial experience, including arbitrations. Representing both employers and employees in trade secrets disputes, the firm’s trade secrets litigators pursue emergency and expedited proceedings, including temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions.
Member John Marsh is co-chair of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. His commercial litigation practice concentrates on trade secrets and the enforcement of restrictive covenants throughout the US.
A former chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Trade Secret Law Committee, Marsh played an active role in supporting the Defend Trade Secrets Act.
Key matters:
- Marsh has successfully represented an employer at trial and through appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court to enforce IP ownership provisions protecting the employer’s critical metal processing technology.
- Marsh has represented a securities firm in a mass exodus of 42 financial analysts, sales representatives and other former employees who formed a competitor, in extensive state court injunctive proceedings and related arbitration proceedings.
