Joseph Saphia has joined Wiggin & Dana LLP as partner.
Residing in the firm’s New York office, Saphia will work on patent litigation, licensing and counselling. He moves from Lovells to join Wiggin & Dana, where he was counsel.
Saphia, who has a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, is a patent litigator responsible for cases involving medical devices, cosmetic products, electrical devices and avionics equipment.
He also provides counselling on various technologies. These include chemical compounds, pharmaceutical formulations and biological products.
“Joe has extensive experience representing clients in the life sciences and other industries on important and high-profile matters,” said Jack Dunham, a partner and chair of Wiggin & Dana’s litigation department. “He adds significant breadth and depth to our practice.”
