CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office, founded in 1957, is the oldest full-service Chinese intellectual property law firm. CCPIT is headquartered in Beijing and has branch offices in eight other cities, including New York, Tokyo, and Madrid.

CCPIT was the sole Chinese agency for incoming trademark registrations from 1957 to the mid-1980s. In the early 1970s, CCPIT advocated for the establishment of a patent system in China. After the Reform and Opening of 1978, CCPIT helped draft the Patent Law. The firm has represented clients in many influential IP cases, including several named "Exemplary Cases of the Year" by authorities like the Supreme People's Court. CCPIT is recognised as a market leader in the prosecution, opposition, and enforcement of IP rights.

CCPIT has 320 patent and trademark attorneys, more than 100 of whom have Chinese lawyer's Qualification or passed bar examination of other jurisdictions. CCPIT’s patent attorneys are recruited from leading universities, 30 patent attorneys have received PhD degrees, some are ex-examiners and others were trained in US or European law firms.
